In December of 2022 and early January of 2023 J**** *. Watkins of Winchendon MA undertook to provide two services to ************************* of *********, **. J** (J****) Watkins proposed that he build ****** a lean-to off the back of her barn so that she could shelter her most expensive farm equipment from the weather. ****** also asked Watkins if he could move a fallen tree from one part of her property to another. J** Watkins agreed to build the lean- to for 5 thousand dollars and only after he had started working did he inform ****** that in fact he charges ***** dollars a day. He pressured ****** into paying him the following fees: On December 20th, 2022- 2,300 dollars .On December 19th Watkins charged ****** ***** dollars which he claimed was for materials for the lean to but when ****** asked for her receipts Watkins refused to turn them over. and continues to refuse to this day. Also on December 19th, Watkins charged ****** ***** which Watkins claimed was for work done on the lean-to; on December 22nd he charged ****** 5000 dollars for work on the lean-to and on December 30th he charged ****** 800 dollars for merely moving a tree which he utterly failed to do. In short ****** has paid Watkins IN FULL for the removal of the fallen tree and she has paid IN FULL an astronomical --criminal sum-- for the lean-to which Watkins has never bothered to finish, its roof still missing, the structure also with many series errors and omissions as evidenced in the report ****** commissioned from a licensed objective builder. In short Watkins has stolen a huge amount of money from ******, has taken advantage off her naivet regarding building costs, and has failed to answer her many texts begging him to at least complete the job that cost ****** so many thousands of dollars despite Watkins saying he would build the structure for 5k. Watkins is a criminal with no knowledge of building code and without the license he lied about having. He is a criminal and needs to be stopped.
