We called a number that claimed to be Groveland Garage Door Repair. It requires a message to be left, then a different number calls back. The person who called back came and took advantage of the fact that my husband was distracted helping my neighbor so he approved the repair without listening to the cost. He trusted that this supposedly legitimate businiess would be fair and honest. I went down and said No Way but the *** said he had already done it so we had to pay. My husband doesn't like to make an issue of things so he paid. I got to work that same day and found out my co-worker was having the same thing, plus more work, done for a total of $300 the next day. When that man came, she verified the cost for spring and pulley replacement, and he said it would be $300 per door (we only needed one door done, so our cost should have been in the same range) I drove to the address of the business to talk to the management but there was no business there and I spoke to a person who lives in the building for the past 8 years and he said there has been no business by that name there. I then emailed the address on their ******** page, I did not get a response so the next day (today) I called. When I pressed the button for "other than appointments" it didn't connect to anyone so I pressed for appointment and got the supposed owner who said his name was *****. He said he was busy and would call me back (before I even got to talk, he just asked my address) but he never called me back. Additionally, you can see the invoice does not say Groveland Garage, it says baystate garage doors. I looked up the cost of garage springs, they range from $15-$87 for the most heavy duty. The receipt is very generic and says it cost $1200 just for the "light duty springs" there is no way! Plus there is a so called "10 yr warranty" but it doesn't mention it on the invoice, nor even say the brand of the "American Made" product he (Maor Bruchin) installed. This company seems fraudulent.
