    8/31/24 I had gone downtown ********* to 978 lounge in *********, ** to grab a few drinks with some friends. I had only had two transactions but got charged for three. 8/31 I used my card to purchase drinks for $27.38 signed slip and returned. We decided to stay so I then used my card to open tab and buy drinks instead of closing out, my tab total came to $40.06 which I paid on 8/31. Those were our last drinks for night. Next day 9/1 I look at my bank statement and see I was charged duplicate order of $27.38. I know I didnt make three transactions that night so I tried reaching out to business but they have no phone number. I spoke with someone on their ******** messenger page requesting refund and for them to look into it, they promised to look into it by sunday then it changed to monday because they have so many slips to go through. Now when I reach back out on TUESDAY because I never got my response, they are completely unresponsive. I feel this is very unprofessional of a business and how they are handling this situation. Ive never had to argue with someone back and fourth for $27 but now its the principle of them being a sketchy business and they should be checked out. I filed dispute with credit card for refund awaiting an answer about that now

    Ms. Whittemore did, in fact, reach out, claiming that she had a duplicate charge on her card and how to go about getting a refund. I attempted to explain to her that she may have two of the same charges because she purchased the same drinks more than 1 time. She claimed she did not, so I told her I would look into the slips. We do take responsibility for not getting back to her with proof fast enough. However, she did inform us that she had already filed a charge back. We then received the complaint in the mail and Ms. Whittemore was sent proof of her three separate transactions from her visit to us totaling the entire amount that shows on her bank statement. In conclusion, she was not overcharged or falsely charged as she claims and made every purchase on her own accord.
