    I hired Sam B and her company, Sam’s Renovations, to fix a leak. She assessed the problem and reported that I needed a new garage roof to stop the leak. She did this work and I paid her 8K for it, only to find that the leak persisted. When I asked if the work had been inspected, she said no, that she hadnt even pulled a permit. Upon further assessment, it turned out that the leak was originating in my second story roof, so Sam suggested that she replace that, which would cost over 10K conservatively. When I asked about a refund of some sort to put towards that work, she refused to return any of the previous amount, stating that I had a new garage roof, which I didnt need. This, combined with the lack of appropriate permits and inspection, convinced me that this is not a reputable business and that I should warn future potential customers.
