    I requested on numerous occassions that my personal family information be removed from their website. Their 'feedback' page is the only means to contact them. My online requests for my information to be removed from their website results in an "error occured" [sic] result. I feel that the error page is a means to thwart people's attempts to have their information removed from their website.

    I am really concerned for my privacy and safety, especially with recent news of the hacking of millions of Social Security numbers. A simple ****** search leads to my full name, complete address, and value of my house on the website for The City of ***********, CT Assessor. Vision Government Solutions (VGS) appears to be the entity maintaining the site based on its name and logo being plastered on every webpage. The city's website does not provide any instructions for remediating this concern; the same goes for VGS. You'd think that, especially given this day and age, a government database containing its residents' personal information would be much harder to find, or at least be hidden from search engines, or be placed behind a paywall. I have serious concerns for my safety. I need my information removed ASAP.

    I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the publication of my personal information, including my full name and my wife's name, on your site without our consent. This situation appears to be in violation of the federal privacy regulations, specifically the Privacy Act, which prohibits the disclosure of personal records without written consent from the individual concerned.I request that you immediately remove all personal data related to me and my wife from your systems. Please confirm the removal of this information within one week from today.If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to seek legal recourse, including filing a lawsuit against your company and any involved parties, such as the Stratford Tax Collector, who may have facilitated the unauthorized collection of our personal information.Thank you for your prompt attention to this urgent matter.

    This company has full details and current pics of anyone's home...including ours. My wife asked them to pull it. We have already contacted the town assessor office...they have no clue what to do they said it's your website you need to pull it or contact them as to what you want them to do. So don't tell me to contact the town they have no clue! Pull this asap because we will be passing this off to an attorney next week if you don't.**********************************************************

    Hi BBB,

    We understand the taxpayer's frustration.This appears to be an escalation to a support case Vision received from this taxpayer last week. The information disclosed on the website we operate for *************** is public record, and the decision whether to suppress that information resides with the municipality. Since the taxpayer noted that the **************** in *************** was unsure how to respond to the request, we reached out to that office on Friday, September 22. We cannot take any action until we receive a response from the *************** Assessor. One we connect with them, we can assist the **************** based on their directions. Our Customer Support team has sent a follow-up request this morning, September 25, in an effort to expedite the issue.

    Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # 20638198.

    The assistant assessor is sick she's back in the office tomorrow she hopes which is Tuesday. She is going to work on fixing the issue that transfers to Vision.

    Until then ..I would like it open until they both can verify it has been suppressed which should happen tomorrow.

    Also I understand that it's public information but so is much of anyone's information. My wife actually pays a company to pull info off that's on sites that are third parties and I know they're in touch trying to get this resolved too.

    The issue is most companies that show data that's public info will tell you that ..but they give you the option to opt out. If this company gets their information from the town's database they should on their own have an opt out option. If people desire to look you up and the appraisal of your home etc it should be they try digging for it, not having it show up that easy. 

    Also why is it that our home picture and that of the home next door is public but yet there's no pictures for homes near us after that. Is that the town doing that or vision that decides to?

    As stated until they can work with the assistant assessor *********************** and make sure it's suppressed, we would like this open . If it doesn't happen tomorrow the attorney will be writing them both.

    This business provides a web platform that displays my personal information (full name, address, tax exemptions) for anyone to access EASILY, and without my authorization. This practice is in violation of W3C principles of privacy and security, and borderline integrity. Remove my existence from this website, the platform, and your business.

    When my name is searched on ****** my name and address comes up immediately. I am a healthcare provider and this is extremely concerning. Patients may search my name and can find out my home address. I want this removed from the ****** search and any other search engines.

    The data on the Vision Government Solutions website is public information owned by the Town of Lexington. Taxpayers wishing to remove their data from the Town's website *** contact the ***************** at the Town Hall. Vision does not have the authority to remove Town-owned data.
