I had an electric motor added to my garage door on July/17/2023. My door had become heavier as I aged! The apparatus worked appropriately , raising the door when I asked it to. Then in late Nov. it would not open door. The secretary in service said I needed to re-program the device. This was not effective. A man finally came here after a week of waiting, and gave me a new key pad and installed it in a new location. He thought it was a battery issue, however I had put new batteries in when the device shut down. The motor worked now. I have only one way to enter my garage and if the door is nonfunctional the garbage piles up in the house. Yesterday I went to put garbage in the cans the door did not open - just one and half to two weeks after a repair man was here. Today is same. I called Overhead. The secretary told me she would send someone out SOMETIME next week. She was not helpful. I had intended to have collectors come to collect my garbage but I cannot. I can get no tools or have access to the furnace and the secretary rather rudely says shell send someone sometime. Is this a usual scenario for an electric opener?

In 38 years of owning Overhead ******* of ********. This was the first time that I had return and take out a new electric operator and provide the customer a full refund of $650.94. My ********************** made several visits to adjust and fix the problem. In the end to satisfy our customer we gave a full refund.   This was not the type of customer service that we provide and we are very sorry that we could not fix the problem the first time.   Note we have a small staff to service all of ******** and the islands and at times if is difficult to provide prompt same day service.
