Jackman Professional Accounting (JPA) were my accountants from 2021 to early 2024. I switched to a new accountant earlier this year. When my current/new accountant went to e-file my business taxes on Monday 03/11/2024, the *** declined the submission. My new accountant asked me to call the *** the next day. When I called the *** the following morning on 03/12/2024, I spoke with a representative (****************) who informed me to two things:1.Jackman Professional Accounting had NOT filed my taxes for 2022. I paid JPA $900 for my taxes to be filed. I now have penalties from the *** for not filing for 2022. See attachment titled, Tax Return 2022 Thryve for invoice of the tax prep fee. See attachment titled, Bank Statement May for proof of my $900 payment. 2.Jackman Professional Accounting had NOT submitted the paperwork to the *** to make my company a S-Corp. I paid Jackman professional accounting $3500 in 2021 for a tax advisory plan in which they determined that my business would benefit from becoming a S-Corp. This payment was divided into two payments of $1750. The first was paid from my personal account and the second was paid from my business account. Please see attachment titled, Email ***** Confirming Paid for Tax Planning. Also, please see attachment Bank Statement March 2021 and Bank Statement Feb 2021 for proof of payments. Furthermore, I was told by ***** Jackman that this payment of $3500 included payment for JPA submitting paperwork to the *** to make my business a S-Corp. ***** Jackman told me that my business was an S-Corp since 2021 even though they took this $3500 payment and never completed the steps with the ***.

    FAQ

I am not satisfied with the response made by Jackman Professional Accounting for two reasons:

    1. They did not attach any documents providing proof that they have filed my taxes in their response. Their response said that they would be attaching documents but they did not. Also, if JPA's proof is efile documents/copies, I will not be satisfied. They also provided me with efile documents which I took as proof at the time but later learned was not proof. I spoke to the *** again today and they confirmed that there are no taxes on file for my business.

    2. This complaint was for JPA not filing my taxes for 2022 and not filing documentation to make my company an S-Corp. However, when I recently called the *** they confirmed that my taxes for 2021 have not been filed either. So JPA did not file my federal taxes for 2021 or 2022. Unacceptable.

    Regards,

    Bernasha

Could you please send these attachments to Jackman Professional Accounting (JPA) as a part of my rebuttal. These documents are proof from the *** that they never filed my taxes for tax years 2021 and 2022. I have attached the documents to this email. Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Warm Regards,
