I'm currently using Xubuntu ***** which has the **** desktop GUI I was able to customize to do what I needed to replace the previous OS I was using. Ubuntu itself has the ***** desktop which doesn't have the features or flexibility I need. On 24 Dec 2023, I posted a question about support for Xubuntu ***** at ************************************************************************* and the response I received there did give some information but the impression I received from the response was "conform to the group think and policy and don't ask any questions." In particular, the following was very disturbing: "...Using any LTS flavor of *buntu past the 3-year life is a Very Bad Idea...Don't do it..." Previously, on 8 Dec 2023, I also posted at ********************************************************************************************************* requesting why chromium had suddenly stopped supporting the recently-used.xbel file. Possibly in response, I very quickly received another chromium update that fixed the recently-used.xbel file problem but I never received an answer to my questions or concerns at that snapcraft forum.

    Dear ****,

Thank you for your feedback and for bringing this to our attention. At Canonical, we are always keen to receive feedback and encourage constructive communication across all Ubuntu-related forums. We are
sorry about your experience in Snapcraft.io. and the Ubuntu Forums and will take action to improve communication there.

Regarding your initial question about Ubuntu Pro and Xubuntu, please note Ubuntu Pro is designed for Ubuntu LTS releases, which are maintained by Canonical.
Xubuntu and other flavours are not maintained by Canonical but by the community. I hope to have answered your question. Please let me know otherwise.

    Best regards,

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********.

    "Please let me know otherwise..."

--> Thank you for responding and requesting I communicate further with you if I have questions.

"I hope to have answered your question..."

--> This initial response to me does not answer the questions I have.  There are components in xubuntu that Canonical does maintain, in particular snap.  I need to get answers as to how snap is maintained in xubuntu.  Where can I communicate directly with the people who maintain xubuntu?  No one responded to any of my concerns I posted at snapcraft.io, which is maintained by Canonical.  Where can I communicate directly with the people maintaining snapcraft.io who can answer the concerns I posted there?  In particular, I want to know how recently-used.xbel is maintained for both firefox and chromium.  These are just a few of the many questions I have.

    Regards,

    ****
