When we moved to ***********, **, my wife and I decided we needed a trust, an updated will, and medical power of attorney. We looked for an attorney who was ***** certified. Fortunately, that led us to John Roberts. We met once and discussed what we thought we wanted. He was very helpful. Several months later, we met with him again. He remembered who we were and what we talked about and we got the ball rolling. He was very responsive. Answered emails promptly, and encouraged us to call anytime we needed a question answered. He worked with the bank who now manages the trust. He provided us with an electronic, interactive document that helped us understand the process as it happened, and that we could use as a guide when we did an annual review of the trust and encouraged us to contact him with any questions that might arise the result of our review. We enjoyed working with him. If you decide to hire him, you will not be disappointed.

I was in a particular situation the required that I retain a Massachusetts attorney to transfer the Mass Conservatorship for my sister to Connecticut. Attorney Roberts researched all the procedures that were required and started and completed everything in a professional and timely matter. Thanks to his prompt attention to detail the transfer was completed without any issues.

During a very difficult time in my life when my Father passed away and my mother had severe Alzheimers and needed nursing home care, Attorney Roberts showed compassion in navigating the Medicaid rules to help pay for my moms much needed care. My Parents had done some advance planning and we were able to keep a large percentage of the closing proceeds when we sold the house. Attorney Roberts again came up with a way to set aside the remaining proceeds in a Pooled Trust account to take care of all my moms supplemental needs. Without his help and support we would have lost what my parents worked so hard to earn and my mother would not have gotten the care she was able to receive. I will always be thankful for the work Attorney Roberts did.
