      Paid this contractor for material and labor. He has not finished the job. He has the product in his possession. I just want the job completed. He started the job in August and has been paid according to his payment schedule. I have paid for all material and labor.

      My wife and I hired CL Construction to perform a complete bathroom remodel in June 2022. The job was contracted to start in August 2022 and was expected to take 2 weeks. The contractor frequently misled, lied, and purposely delayed our job in favor of completing his other work, and ultimately abandoned our contracted work just days before Thanksgiving, leaving our family of 4 with only 1 functioning bathroom for 6+ months. Throughout the job, the owner of CL Construction frequently told us that he would be arriving at our home to complete the work, only to no show and ignore our attempts to reach out. He frequently assured us that the job would be done as soon as possible, only to continue delaying week after week. We also asked that he finish the job before Thanksgiving as we had family members coming to visit, which he said he would do, but then left the job site on 11/21 and have not seen him since. CL Construction happily accepted 4 of 5 of our payments before abandoning our job, leaving us in a financial hard spot as we look for a new contractor to complete the work. In short, CL Construction repeatedly lied and misled us in an attempt to collect as much money as possible before abandoning our work. The cost to finish the remaining work is far more than the amount owed to CL Construction for the final payment, meaning CL Construction has taken money they are not entitled to and now refuses to respond to any calls, texts, or emails. Not only did CL Construction abandon our job, but the work performed right before the job was abandoned was sloppy and poorly done, including smears of caulk all over our tile, baseboards pulling from the wall, walls painted the wrong color, and dry wall being left unfinished. This is by far the worst experience we have ever had with a home improvement professional, and I do not plan to ever work with or hire CL Construction again.
