    Earlier this summer, date unknown, Master Tree Service removed a fallen tree in a neighbors yard and did some tree trimming next door. The business owner was handing out business cards and I requested an estimate to remove two trees and grind the stumps. His estimate was $1,800.00 which I felt was a very good price. He requested payment in cash upon completion. at first he said he would do the work the next day but later said he would return in a few weeks and would contact me. I gave him my contact information. He did contact me and after a few no shows finally showed up and removed one tree and said he would have to return to do the second tree saying it was too windy to climb. He did call and again failed to show repeatedly blaming everything from Covid to mechanical issues. He called again and said his chipper was broken and would not be repaired any time soon He said he wanted to complete the job but had to rent a chipper to do so. He requested $400.00 in advance to help pay for the chipper rental and said he would do the work the next day. Like a fool, I trusted him and wanted to get the work done so I agreed. He said he would arrive in 30 minutes, and he did. Upon arrival he changed the amount requested to $500.00 Again, like a fool I trusted him and handed him the cash expecting him to show up the next day and once again he was and still is a no show. It took several attempts to reach him and when I finally did he again said he had a mechanical issue and would need another two weeks to complete the work. It's now week four and I am unable to contact him. I believe he blocking my number. I called from a different number and got his voicemail, left a message but he will not return my call. After some research, I believe he does not have a registered business with the Comm. of Mass. I also believe he insists on cash payment to avoid paying taxes,etc. I located a residence in ********* where he parks his truck. I have more info. Will send Email.

    On Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024 I made face to face contact with Mr. ************** at ********************************************************************* At that time I reminded him that I wanted him to complete the job or return my $500.00. He stated that he would complete the work by the end of the week. (9/30- 10/5)  I again responded that if he wasn't going to do the job, I wanted my money back. He again responded he would be there. He offered a handshake and that was the end of the conversation.. As of this date, 10/11/2024 he has not returned to complete the job, has not contacted me and has not returned my $500.00.
