    In late 2023, we had signed our son up for a week of the Explorers Summer Camp at Tower School and waitlisted him for another spot on a different week because enrollment was full. On January 25, 2024 ***************************** send an email stating they had a spot open for the week we had been waitlisted. On January 26, 2024 my wife responded to the email saying we no longer needed the spot and we would like to cancel. The same day, she received a response back from ***************************** stating "Thank you for letting us know your plans for the summer. We will certainly make the changes to your registration. Please confirm that you would like to cancel week 7 August 5-9 and that you understand that you are forfeiting your deposit for that week and that you would like to be removed from the waitlist for any remaining weeks." It was our understanding at this time that we had forfeited the $100 deposit and that Tower School had indeed made the changes to the registration as stated and therefore would not be charged the full amount for the week as per their policy. This was the last correspondence ever received from Tower School. In May 2024 we received a charge of $410 (the cost of the week of summer camp) on our credit card. After inquiring with both ***************************** and ***********************, the head of school, they stated that we did not re-confirm that we wanted to cancel so they went ahead and charged us. They have not been able to produce a policy where stating the desire to cancel twice is needed to not be charged. They also made claims that they sent reminders to an account with the school even though we have no log in for an account or have received any inforrmation about how to access such an account. We are just asking to not be charged the $410 for a request for a service that was cancelled in the appropriate amount of time to receive the refund as per their policy.

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. Also in the process of disputing the charge with the credit card company.

The business provided the refunded as originally requested.  I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.
