    Because of fraudulent POS charges on my bank debit card, the bank will not give me a new debit card. Reason: they have to @eat the charges after they refund my account. Its not my ************ have caused great hardship for me because I dont have a new debit card.

    This customer has been issued multiple new debit cards in a short period of time (over ********************** the span of a year) due to fraudulent transactions occurring. The fraud came from the card user clicking on suspicious links and frequently sharing card information online. The disputed fraudulent transactions totaled in the hundreds of dollars, causing the Bank to have concern for protecting the customer's money and the Bank itself. **************** representatives at ********************** offered to provide education and solutions to help the customer protect themselves from fraud, such as installing up to date anti-virus software and only using their debit card on secure, known websites for purchases. Due to the ongoing pattern of fraudulent transactions and lack of due diligence from the customer, in April/May 2023, ********************** made the decision to restrict the customers debit card access and not issue a new debit card to take the next step in protecting the customer and the Bank from further monetary loss. The Bank has offered to provide an ATM card for the customer to access their funds, but the customer did not accept this solution.
