1 starBought a thermostat on Black friday sale, was supose to have rebate and free shipping. They charged me full price and charged me for shipping. I emailed them right away and they said they would look into it. They never got back to me so i recontacted them, they denied my rebate and said I can't return the item. 1 starCouldn't cancel my mistaken purchase within 24 hours even though it had not yet shipped. Item received, then returned, and received at their warehouse and signed for. 3 weeks later, over 6 conversations with customer support, and they have not even acknowledged receipt of the item, much less issued my refund. It's clear this company has no intention of actually issuing said refund. I had to pursue a chargeback. First and last time doing business with this dishonest company.Review fromAmy L

1 starI applied for a MassSave Rebate in March. It sat for weeks in a pending state, though they never contacted me to tell me what else was needed. First, the invoice wasn't to their liking, so I had to have the contractor rewrite it. The status sat for several more weeks in a pending state. They still never contacted me to tell me what else was needed. Then I needed an inspection, which I don't understand since an approved contractor installed it, but still, on June 20th, the inspection was completed, which was just a picture of the brand and model sticker on the units. Information that has been provided on the application and on the invoice.The status is still "In Progress" and is being reviewed two months later. I have inquired every week since, and no one will tell me what is being reviewed. On July 25th, an admin from ********* emailed me stating she checked on the rebate and I would receive it in the next 2-3 weeks at the latest. That was five weeks ago. Still no rebate. 1 starIf possible I would give a 0 star rating. Painfully inept organization which cannot fulfill a simple online order which remains "In-process" after 6 weeks. Phone support never answers but I was able to do several online chats which assured me that they were reviewing the order for quality assurance. I am unsure of what needed review despite several attempts to get an answer. I was also told I could not cancel an order that was placed more than 24 hours ago. Really? I pushed for escalation and finally was told the item was on back-order and they could cancel and refund me. I had to continue to push to get an email confirmation for the cancellation. We'll see how long it takes for any refund to process. I will never order from here again regardless of any rebate opportunities.Review fromDilip C

1 starI applied for a furnace rebate and I was given a tier-1 rebate of $200 although the furnace qualifies for tier-2 rebate of $500.[04/09/2023] Contacted MassSave and spoke to an associate who identified the problem and said I will get another check of $300.[05/12/2023] Contacted MassSave (this number came when the Check of $200 was received) and spoke to associate. He does not seem knowledgeable and has an attitude. [06/17/2023] Contacted MassSave at around 125 PM and spoke to an associate who said I will get an email within a few days and I should call Mass Save after that.[07/01/2023] Contacted MassSave and spoke to an associate who told me that last associate opened a case (regular case) for my case already on 06/17/2023 and this associate is going to mark it as urgent so that my case get expedited. [07/15/2023] Contacted MassSave and spoke to an associate who told me that he DOES NOT see the expedited case opened by last associate may be because last associate marked the original regular case as urgent. Associate said I give you my word that I will open an expedited case today and you can call us after 2 weeks and if it is NOT opened, you can ask for me.[08/19/2023] Contacted MassSave and spoke to an associate about the $300 additional Tier-2 rebate who told me that they no longer process rebates on behalf of Mass Save! He gave me email and Ph to contact Resource Innovation, *****, **. Associate said he cannot give me a physical address of the organization in ******* and asked me to write to them an email first and then call after 1 week.ALL MY ABOVE INFO CAN BE VERIFIED AT THE ORGANIZATION'S LOG. I WONDER HOW ********************** CAN ALLOW SUCH ORGANIZATIONS LIKE EFI WITH AN 'F" RATING TO DO BUSINESS IN THE ****** I WILL TAKE A LEGAL ACTION.Review fromAndrew T

1 starIn August of 2022 we switched from propane to *********** with National Fuel (WNY) the company provided us with a rebate program for our hot water tank and furnace. After our certified plumber completed the work, provided a written invoice with the **** number that exceeded the rating we submitted all paperwork to National Fuel. This is when the issues began. Approximately 5 Months after the paperwork was submitted we received a check for the incorrect amount. I called the customer service line and proceeded to wait for over an hour each time (being disconnected twice). The third time I reached someone on 12-22-22 who provided inaccurate information and refused to help me. In January of 2023 I called again and finally reached someone who verified that the rebate amount was incorrect and stated she rectified the problem, issuing another check with the correct amount. This person informed me to wait several months for a new check due to the backlog. Well here we are August of 2023 and nothing from EFI. No emails, no phone call and definitely not a rebate check. If this organization wasn't getting kick backs from the gas companys they would not last very long. If anyone had a choice to work with this company I would tell them to run as far as they can.Review fromVaske B

1 starI would like to inform you that on March 1, 2023, I contacted this company by phone and requested (a few minutes after the purchase) to cancel my order because the purchase was much more expensive than advertised online. The agent of this company, *******, assured me that everything would be canceled and I would be notified. No notification came, and $336 was deducted from my bank account the next day. I wrote an email and confirmed the cancellation. They told me to submit an online request for a return label, which I did in mid-March. They did not send me any label. I have written 3-4 emails so far, and they tell me that their online system has a problem and as soon as they fix it, they will send me a return label. It has been 4 months and 25 days since I canceled the order, and nothing has been resolved. They took $336 from me in a second with their "broken online system," but to get that money back, it takes months and a waste of time with emails and phone calls without any solution. I ordered an ecobee3 from this company, and if you need it, I can provide you with the order number and the emails I sent to EFI asking for return labels several times.Review fromBob M

This company is a scam. Cant contact live time and their online chat never responds. National Fuel will not take responsibility. Good luck getting your legit rebates- which are paid with taxpayer $$. Whos keeping these prepaid funds?EFI

Thank you for your feedback, Mr. Merritt. We apologize for the frustration you have experienced with the delay to receive your rebate check. Rebate application review processing can last from 8-12 weeks after submission. We received your application in the first week of December. The rebate application was reviewed and approved, and we have been waiting for the finalization of the process to mail the rebate check. At this time, we have submitted a request to the Program Sponsor to pull your rebate out of a batch in order to expedite it. Once we have authorization to do so, we would be happy to follow up with you by email with a mailing date.
