Dear Concerned Party, I am writing to file a complaint regarding the extremely unsatisfactory service provided by BMS Cat Marlborough. Last October, a sprinkler leak caused significant damage to the third floor of our home, totaling around $12,000 in estimated repairs. Our home insurance company, Connect, recommended we hire BMS Cat to handle the restoration work. While the BMS Cat manager initially provided a comprehensive quote and reviewed the insurance coverage, their performance quickly deteriorated once work began in early March. Despite being told the job would take only three weeks, they claimed an emergency at a hotel after just the second day, leaving a single technician at our home. Although most of the major work was completed in about three weeks, BMS Cat also damaged a closet door in an area unrelated to the leak. Once the bulk of the repairs was done, we were left with missing closet doors, panels removed from the walls, and our fire alarm unit uninstalled. Our attempts to get BMS Cat to return and finish the remaining work were met with an astonishing lack of professionalism. They failed to show up on three separate scheduled appointments, not even count the two additional no-shows before they even started early March. Each time they were supposed to come, either myself or my wife had to rearrange our work schedules to be present, causing tremendous inconvenience and wasting our limited vacation days. Finally, about three months after the initial work, someone did come to install the closet doors. However, we have since realized the fire alarm is not functioning correctly and continues beeping when reconnected. I cannot fathom how this company remains in operation given their unpredictable schedule, shoddy workmanship, and inability to keep their commitments. They even caused further damage during the repairs. I caution anyone against hiring BMS Cat, as they are unlikely to uphold their promises and may very well create additional issues.
