    My husband and I signed a contract with Donnelly Contracting for a home addition. Our contract stated the project would *********** months. Over 16 months later, our project is still not complete. We still have an open building permit through the town on ******, ** and inspections have yet to take place. The work that was promised to us has not been completed. A few examples of the work that is not complete includes- finishing work, built ins, fireplace functioning, professional painting, doors being hung, garage door being finished/fixed, basement ****** columns fixed, and cleanup of *************************** that have been left behind. The owner of this business, our contractor- ******* Donnelly has stopped communicating with us and we have not seen him in months.

    Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********.

    We have been hearing that response from ******* Donnelly for months.  This project was supposed to *********** months and we have been dealing with this for over 18 months now.  ******* Donnelly continues to tell us specific times and dates that work will be done, and then will not show up and will stop communicating with us. There hasn't been any work done at all in over 6 months.  We have much more than "punch list" items that need to be finished in our home.  Also, of note we have paid everything we owe.  We have one small check remaining that will be paid out when/if the house is completely finished.    

    Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.
