    I was treated like a nuisance through the process of obtaining insurance approval. I received a denial letter from insurance for missing information. ***** made up a blatant lie claiming Dr. ******** said my insurance denied the claim for my BMI, which was completely false. I called insurance & confirmed missing information. Ignored by ***** I called insurance again & they called & spoke to ***** forwarding the denial. I feel they discriminated against me using my weight as an excuse for their poor actions and lack of follow through. Today I went for preop to pay the balance in full & had questions about a charge I thought would be included in the total & was met with an attitude from *****. Instead of speaking to me directly she spoke loudly across the desk of my personal information with an office full of other patients. When I met with Dr. ******** in tears from the embarrassment and discrimination I felt he showed no remorse whatsoever. His responses were condescending rude and ****. Sorry you feel that way, I dont know what to tell you. This is not the response nor sense of urgency a Surgeon should have when they are being told a member of their staff has made a patients experience so poor. He began over talking me and actually told me I was being rude and it was a two way street. I felt no choice but to not move forward with surgery after this no longer felling comfortable with him operating on me. I was treated poorly & unfairly by ***************** ******** and office manager ***** **** of the ******** Plastic and hand surgeons of cape Cod Mashpee. This behavior is unacceptable and needs to be rectified. Being a medical professional doesnt give the right to treat people poorly and make up lies just to get them to go away. I waisted my time and money investing just to start the process over again. I want to be refunded pre-op testing fees as it was not disclosed and I will not be moving forward due to the behavior of the staff at this location.
