      I hired **** environmental service on 7/16/2024 for a proposal on a replacement septic system engineering design. paid them $2800.00. They have done the test and design back in fall and have not proceed the town meeting for the ok to proceed. I have called just about every day, texted and emailed with no reply. or voice mail is full. The house is under agreement and this delay may cause the buyer to back out.

      Back on 7/18/2023 I wrote a check to Carmen E. Shay Environmental Services for $900 (another $900 was going to be paid once the work was done) to do an engineering assessment on redoing our septic system at *********************************************** ********. He said he'd start working on it the following Thursday, but I never heard back from him. In early August I noticed he cashed the check without any follow-up. So, I reached out to him. The communication at this point was lacking. He eventually agreed to come out to do a perk test on 8/25/2023. It was scheduled for 10 am, but he came at around 9 am. He never came to the door to say he arrived. I happened to see him in the driveway while taking our dog out. He mentioned for me to move a car...once I got back out he was gone. This was all prior to 10 am. I felt the communication was lacking so I decided to seek another company to do the service and asked for a refund. He only agreed to refunding 1/2 the amount. I've never received a refund and I never received an itemized list of what he was charging me for, since I never saw any work that was actually done. He also said there was a fee that he never told me about. I tried reaching out to him several times, but he hasn't responded to my email and his voicemail is full, so I can't leave a message. The email correspondence is attached.
