I contacted Hydroseeding by Norman on June 25, 2022 about applying premium seed and weed preventer for a newly installed lawn that had been redone with 300yds of loam and a brand new irrigation system. Norman provided me with a quote of $3,000.00, which I agreed upon. Norman, arrived on June 28, 2022 to hydroseed and rushed through the job very quickly which was concerning to me and my landscaper. I promptly paid him when he was finished despite being concerned about the quickness of which he hydroseeded. Norman recommended watering the new seed four times a day for 20-minutes, which I followed to the letter. He also mentioned, if I do that my lawn will look like sod in the fall. My next contact with Norman was 16-days later on July 14, 2022, expressing my concern for the prevalence of crab grass & various other weeds along with several bare spots with no growth at all. His response was "This is summer it's not growing season this is why we don't recommend doing it this time of year but you just have to deal with it". I was baffled as to why this was the first time Norman had mentioned that to me, and why he would agree to perform the hydroseeding if it's not the right time of year? My next contact with Norman was August 6, 2022, I sent him pics of my lawn which consisted entirely of a carpet of crab grass & various weeds with very little grass growth. He responded, "It needs to be cut and watered at least 3 times a day for 20-minutes a zone". I told him it's been watered 4 times a day for 20-minutes per zone as he initially recommended. Norman replied for us to touch base again in September.Next contact with Norman was September 19, 2022, I provided an update that my landscape company had to come back and completely redo 75% of my lawn removing a dense carpet layer of crabgrass & other weeds that had developed over the majority of my yard. The other 25% had sparse grass growth with a lot of bare spots and weeds mixed in all over needing attention as well.

    ****,

We want nothing more than for every lawn to meet the expectations of our customers and we're sorry that this was not the case. We can't guarantee success with all of the variables that go into creating a lawn including the environment and weather but we do our best to provide you with care instructions that will support healthy lawn growth. When we show up for a job, we provide the service and do not guarantee success- trust me, we wish we could! We're sorry that within a couple weeks you did not see growth or improvement and that you had to have another service provider service the area. The last thing we want is for you to not get the expected results, and have to deal with the added frustration of having to do more work. We have refunded you for 20% of the cost, and sending you a check in the mail for $600. We hope this helps and we're sorry for the disappointment we can imagine you felt. We don't take this lightly and greatly appreciate your feedback as it will help us understand how we can improve.
