I dont usually write complaint letters however, I am writing because I received a call today from someone claiming to be collecting a debt from me that ************ Heating and Air Condition said I owed from back in Dec 2019.After speaking with the collection agency, I wrote to Powers and asked them to provide me with the account details for Dec 2019 or Jan 2020 and any information leading up to the invoice because I honestly moved on with life and I couldnt remember the details. This was shortly after I hired Powers to clean and serviced my furnace because my old furnace tech wasnt doing it anymore. That was the first and last time I used **** Powers for that. About a month after that I had to make 3 calls for service for my furnace, 3 days in a row. Reason was the furnace not starting. I had already paid Powers over $600+. for the first two service calls plus on the 3 day **** Powers again charged me another $380.00 for the 3rd call. No parts, he just came in and pushed a button. He said the furnace needed to be replaced. Furnace was down again before morning in the middle of January. I was angry and desperate. I stopped payment on my check and looked for another company.I never heard anything from Powers and Sons again until today over 2.5 years later. I called the collection agency back again and they informed me they were dropping their clients (Powers and Sons) claim and would not be taking any other action on their part.Just read the other reviews. They all tell the same story. I recommend you stay away from this company. They do show very unprofessional behavior. I found them to be very hard to deal with and not willing to help, communicate or work things out. PS Given the history I am sure this message will get a response from Powers but, so you all know, I hired another company and I am again moving on with my life once more. I suggest Powers and Sons does the same.
