In March I rented a storage area .they failed to give me veterans discount after arguing with them they finally credited me 1 month out of fine let that go.. on Saturdays I received a notice of nonpayment ...I go there and they tell me it's all set there's a o balance so I check bank account to find they took out $195.20!!! Told me there was a $20 late fee in which they were supposed to take out automatically but said was declined ( but that was a good account with funds can't understand ..bank said did not see any transactions. Then they told me there was a raise in the rent...In which I was NEVER informed of she said letter sent out ....I received nothing about this or I would have changed companies ...SO BASICALLY I was shafted 2 months veterans discount and CHARGED EXTRA MONIES WITH OUT NOTIFICATION ...This can't be legal and how many other people they doing this too that don't know better????????

The customer rented a unit in March as stated in his complaint, what was not mentioned is that he got the rental with a discounted rate. Our website and policy clearly states that there is only one discount per customer. However, we did accomodate the customer with the military discount as well, which he is still currently receiving on his monthly invoices.

A letter of rent increase was mailed out on June 16, 2024 stating that the new rate would take effect on 7/18/24. We have made seven documented attempts to contact the customer via phone, email, mail and text since the inital letter was sent out. When he came to the office on 8/19/24 to complain about the charges, he brought in his past due notice which would indicate that he is receiving his mail from us, but had not responded.

The customer was set up for autopay as requested when he signed for the unit, so our system will automatically try to charge the account. He is disputing two months worth of charges. He signed a lease agreement that notifies cutomers there will be a $20 late fee if you are more than five days late on payment. With that being said, he is being charged late fees for two months of non-payment. We would like to work with customer to get the issue resolved but he came in to the office very irrate and was not willing to work with us. He wanted us to refund his account and remove all late fees, claiming that he had not recieved notice of increase.
