      We hired Copeland Roofing in March of 2006 to replace the entire roof of our home to the tune of $7,000. The shingles supposedly have a warranty of 30 years but from the beginning, we have had nothing but problems with leaks in a hallway over the last 18 years. We have called Mr. C over the years and at times he has sent workers to make minor repairs, but leaks have continued and at no time did anyone inspect the roof. My husband has called over the years to either get no response or just someone to come out and make a minor repair but no one to look at the entire roof. Now the issue has progressively gotten worse with multiple water leaks now in the main house. My husband called Mr. C again this weekend, 9/21/24, showed him the damage and he advised him he would come out on 9/22/24 inspect the roof and he did not show up. Now he is ignoring calls and messages. There is mold in the hallway and who knows elsewhere in the home and I am allergic to black mold. We cannot make the repairs needed and remove the mold until the leaks stop. We should not have had leak issues with a roof from the beginning let alone over the years for a roof under 20 years old and we just want it repaired correctly as we do not have another $7000 to pay someone else to replace it.

      The Roof was installed over 18 years ago. The company labor warranty has expired. We cannot extend the company labor warranty due to the roof shingles being compromised from excessive human traffic from other parties. I suggest they contact someone else to address their problems.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      At 18 years the roof should be deteriorating and having as many issues as it is and when the contract states they are 30 year asphalt shingles. It has not had excessive human traffic on it since it is a roof and people do not go gallivanting on the roof. There are no solar panels on the roof to cause any issues.

      We have had issues with this roof leaking since 2009 and it was installed in 2006. The shingles are obviously inferior and not 30 year asphalt shingles. And any reputable business owner would see that and deal with the manufacturer instead of punishing the customer.

      I hired Copeland to replace my roof in August 2020. I also purchased 5 bundles of shingles and roof caps with which I could replace my shed roof myself. Copeland stored the shingles in my shed.I got around to doing my shed a month ago. While I did have the 5 bundles, there wer no roof cap shingles.I contacted Copeland by email. requesting the caps. **** Copeland agreed that he would deliver them. He did not and no longer responds to emails. I either need these shingles or a refund of the cost of obtaining them myself.

      BBB spoke directly with the business and they advised that they are happy to provide the consumer with the roof caps.  If the consumer would like to reach out to him, they can arrange a time for him to come pick them up.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      First, after waiting months for a response, I could not continue to wait until the company deigned to respond so that my shed roof would be watertight. After waiting weeks after filing a BBB complaint I finally purchased the materials so that I could make it watertight.

      Second, the agreement called for delivery, not pickup.
