    I turned my original laptop in to U Break I Fix (UBIF) in Natick, MA at the end of July. The fan was running constantly and was extremely loud, which was a nuisance since I am a voice actor. I was told that testing my laptop would take maybe 5 days. 3 weeks later and multiple phone calls (initiated by me), I was told that there was nothing wrong (doubtful) and I was offered a new laptop. Since my original laptop was old, and even though there was probably nothing wrong with it, I decided to take the deal and get the new computer. I was told it would take about a week. In the meantime, I am unable to work as a voice actor because I have no computer. Another 2 weeks and multiple phone calls later (again, initiated by me because no one at **** would call me), I was finally told that my new laptop was in. I picked it up on Aug 27, and I was told about a 30 day return policy if I didnt like it. I took it home, and immediately when I plugged it in, there was fan noise. I did give it a week or two, but the fan runs constantly when I have it plugged in. Recording voice over work takes up a lot of battery, so it needs to be plugged in. It also has this weird start screen when I turn it on. So I decided this laptop, which I bought sight unseen, would not be the best option for me. Remembering the 30 day return policy,, I took it in on Sept 20, within the correct time frame. Then, I was told that I could only return it if it was defective. I was not told that in the beginning. Every other store in the world has a return policy that allows a customer to return a product if they dont like it, whether or not its defective. I wasted too much money on this laptop that I dont like and Im not allowed to return it? It already took way too long for me to receive a laptop since I initially turned in my old one. I wasted two months in which I could not work for my voice over business because **** took much longer than promised getting me a laptop and giving me the run-around.
