    The *********************** in my town provided a list of recommended land surveyors, which Cheney Engineering was included on. I spoke with the owner about the project in Ictober 2023, he provided a price for the job, and invoiced me for a retainer of $2,500 of the $4750 prior to starting the work. A team of two engineers was sent promptly thereafter to my house to take measurements and survey the property. In October 2023. I was informed the documents would be ready before Christmas 2023, which was required as we needed to submit information to the town to allow for a new fence to be built during the spring to protect my young children from an adjacent body of water. We never received the documents despite countless emails and phone calls with the owner and were unable to put up our fence. I would not recommend this firm to anyone and assumed they had gone out of business until reading a previous complaint from August 2023. I am hoping for a similar outcome and to receive the documents for the work that was agreed for the job. I have not been invoiced for the balance or received further information despite the owner telling me it was just emailed to me every time I called.

    We hired Cheney Engineering to draw up a plot plan for an addition to our house. *********************** explained the process over the phone and he sent a crew to our home within just a few weeks of the call. We paid for the plan but did not receive the plot plan for several weeks despite multiple unanswered phone calls and emails. Although **** was apologetic , our second plot plan has yet to be completed it has now been over 3 months. We have called, emailed and even approached in person with no response. We are very disappointed with the empty promises of completion and the lack of communication. I would not recommend this business to anyone looking for a plot plan.
