I received a invalid invoice with no proof of services rendered on 2/14/2025. I requested the company's service to design and supervise the manufacturing of a battery and charger 2 years earlier. EPEC Technologies team provided two separate sets nonfunctional and incompatible samples of product 5 months past the verbal deadline agreed upon. They attempted to pressure me into signing off on samples even though they were incorrect, with the promise to make the product correct while manufacturing. I did not sign off on these nonfunctioning samples. Post the first incorrect sample they stated that in order for them to continue their attempt to make the product samples correctly, I would have to promise to pay for the **************************** testing required to send said product to me. I mistakenly agreed to pay for this testing in an effort to get the product corrected. After the second faulty sample, I severed ties with the company due to their incompetence, the project being so far behind the agreed schedule and the nonfunctioning samples. They continue to invoice me for DOT testing even though it is no longer relevant since I am no longer taking delivery of the product. The have also not sent any proof or certificate of said DOT testing being performed. This is an unethical business practice and in my 9 years of business I have never worked with a more incompetent team of people. I have attempted to reach out to members of ****'s management team with out a response. I would like to warn other companies about their incompetence, lack of ethics and have EPEC rescind their invoice for $2787.20 of "testing" that was never performed.

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. **** continues to send an invoice for testing without proof of this testing or certification ever being performed. Once again, this testing and certification that I am being charged for is not relevant as I have not agreed to purchase the product due to the sample product being defective.

    Business Response

    Date: 05/22/2025

Customer came to **** looking for design and manufacturing help. Held several meetings. Then customer became very hard to contact. Multiple attempts to contact customer to meet and develop plan forward were made. No contact with customer until complaint made to ******************** was made.
