CRIMINALS!Was forced to hire them to move out a tenant who after two years was being evicted for non payment of rent. They showed up, less than 3 hours of work, didnt take 80% of the items in the house and charged $4,000. I had to hire another company to come in after them to actually empty the property.

My daughter, was renting an apartment in ******* *************. Thursday, January 18, ****, when she was in ********* *************, she got a phone call from her landlord, Seven Hills Property Management that she was being evicted and not to return to her property because her apartment was being vacated by Southcoast Movers as they spoke. The locks were being changed that day. She was told to call Southcoast Movers at 3 ***********. in ********* ************* to get her belongings. My wife who is her rep ****** called a storage facility at 3 ***********. in *********. They stated they were not Southcoast Storage but gave her a phone number for Southcoast Storage. When she called that phone number she was referred to another phone number which is the number of Southcoast Storage in ***********. She called and left a message about why she was calling. A couple days later she got a call back, and the person stated that she would need permission from my daughter to talk with her. My daughter has called there frequently and every time his left a message to call her and stating that my wife is rep ***** and she gives her permission to talk with her. But there has not been any response to my daughter. My wife has called that number daily and left a message every time, except for five days when we were away from our home. We have never gotten a call back. All my daughter has is the clothes that were on her back that day and her pocketbook that she was carrying with her.

If I could give them no stars I would. Stay very very far away from these clowns. They will break your things because they don't care how they pack and stow items. Additionally, don't plan on getting all of your things back. This company took an entire home and packed it in a half hazard manner, broke or damaged 25% of the 50% of my household goods they managed to return. They failed to return my stereo, microwave, my box spring, bed frame, household linens, Christmas decorations, lawn furniture and my food processor (just to name a few of the items missing.) THEY JUST DON'T CARE! Don't bother calling because they don't answer their phone or respond to texts. I am in the process of suing them for restitution of missing and damaged items. I was charged for 2 storage units at $350.00/month. Not worth the hassle and expense.

South Coast Moving and Storage, at ********************************************* is not operating legally. There is sworn evidence of illegal and criminal activity in that location as well as other of their locations. They claimed to own the building at ******************* when in fact they do not own that building, take responsibility for communications at that building, have no posted notice that they claim to even have a location at that building, and have used that address to misrepresent the safe and secure moving and storage of peoples belongings. There is no office at that location, and no one to contact. Their licensing application is full of misrepresentations and has been acquired based on false representations to the state and explicit violations of MGL Chap. 105 1. The application repeatedly refers to the entire location of *****************, when, in fact, they dont own the building; they dont have an office or presence there, as legally required, since they have to maintain a phone number. See MGL Chap. 239 3 3, naming a phone number at the warehouse, not just belonging to the warehouser. The necessity in MGL Chap. 239 4 that they maintain receipts at the location where they warehouse somebodys belongings. There is no sign identifying this location with South Coast. MGL Chap, 105 1 says that if an aspiring warehouser gets a license from the state, such license shall not be issued unless and until the applicant shall have given notice of said application by publishing the same in two consecutive publications of a newspaper published in the town in which the warehouse is to be located. Such notice shall set forth a description of the premises on which the license is sought to be exercised, designating the building or part of the building to be used and the street and number. Instead of the legal requirement of advertising and seeking a license for the part of the building they were looking to use, they misrepresented in the ad that they license all of *************.

I hired this company to pack up and store the belongings of a tenant who was being evicted for non-payment of rent. I was under the impression that they would carefully pack EVERYTHING and move it off to a storage facility. Imagine my surprise when I saw the pictures of the aftermath ( I live in another state). The bathroom was filled with storage racks that had not been packed up, cleaners, rugs, buckets and full cabinets which had not been packed up. The kitchen counters and cabinets were full of stuff to include candles, spices, baby food, cleaners etc. There were also brooms, whiteboards, buckets, tupperware, and a dresser left in the kitchen. The living room and bedrooms had a boxspring and a mattress, another dresser, trash cans, tv wall bracket, Christmas lights, cat carrier, cat scratchposts and the list goes on. They even left an aquarium. After I paid them $4950, I had to hire a 10 yard dumpster and actually filled it up with the things they left. BEWARE of this company. I am giving them a one-star review because there is nothing lower to give.
