      I booked a room at the ***************************** on Feb ******* for a trip in June 2025. They billed my credit card in April *******, 2 months later, not at the time of purchase or when I got there. Because of this my credit card company flagged it as fraud. Which is exactly what they should have done. When I went to check on my reservation before arriving they cancelled my stay because of this. I explained the situation to the front desk. He states that rooms are charged a head of time and that charges are placed by hand. I stated I understand that but it was billed 2 months after I booked and 3 months before I arrived, which looks like fraud. He states there is nothing he can do. Of course no manager was available. When I asked about re-booking rooms he stated that there were none available and would not do anything for me regarding this issue. Horrible Service. I will never book with Sonesta again

      I cannot express how deeply disappointed and disgusted I am by my recent stay at Sonesta ES Suites Atlanta ********************. From start to finish, it was an absolute nightmare especially for a parent with a young child.When we checked into our room, we were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of weed in the hallway an incredibly strong, pungent odor that was completely unacceptable, especially in a room meant for families. I called the front desk to report it, concerned not just for comfort, but for my two-year-old daughters safety while she slept. The only solution offered? Move rooms. Thats it. No apology, no urgency, just a dismissive we can move your room.I explained that this wasnt just about inconvenience it was about my child breathing in potentially harmful smoke. The front desk staff was shockingly rude and inconsiderate. No concern, no compassion. Just cold indifference.Even worse, someone was openly smoking a bowl right outside our window. I asked the front desk to do something about it, and I was told she had to handle other guests first. Are you kidding me? I had to confront this man myself because the staff refused to take action and the police wouldnt arrive in time. I shouldnt have to protect my child from drug use on hotel property because the staff wont.When I pressed the issue again, I was actually told to wake up my sleeping two-year-old and move her just so the front desk could avoid dealing with the situation. Absolutely unbelievable.This hotel is not safe. It is not family-friendly. And it is clear they have no interest in guest well-being, especially when it involves children. I urge anyone considering this hotel especially families to stay away. There are better, safer, and more professional places to stay in the ************ this review. Speak out. No family should have to go through this.

      If I could give ZERO stars I would.I've worked with this property for over 6 months. A professional group stayed in August, but we haven't received the agreed 10% commission despite many emails and calls. General Manager **** ****** refuses to communicate. This raises concerns about guest treatment. The group requested to avoid staying there again.

      We booked a room at the Chicago Royal Sonesta River North property for 2 18 year old young women to stay for 2 nights through a third party. They were told they could not check in because they were not 21 and were turned away!Even after they pleaded and calls were made by their parents in ********** to ask for a special exception to be made to their policy that we could not find anywhere, they were denied and sent away.We will make sure no one we know ever stays at a Sonesta hotel again and will post on our social media.If anything happens to our girls because they were sent away, we will hold Sonesta International responsible.Very angry in ********************!

      This location is horrible first, let me start up with saying I stayed at this Sonesta suites May 26, 2024 I moved here with my daughter that 17 and my mother, shes *************** this room for approximately one hour before the *** and police showed up at the door The room was under surveillance prior to us getting there for *** trafficking So we had the *** in the police at our door, interrogate us and questioning us for the previous guest because the concierge wasnt at the desk so theyjust walked by and came to the room So thats not even the worst part they got there at about 730PM and stayed around until like 12AM we were so uncomfortable with the situation that Sonesta had put us in that we got up and left at 6:30 in the morning But I instantly went to the desk and asked them for a different room and explained to them that they were at the door because that roomwas involved in *** trafficking. I was told they didnt have a different room to accommodate us, but they would give me a refund in the morning And To add insult to injury here we are in march 2025 and I havent got a refund ******* and Via are two of the worst people Ive ever spoke with in my life to be managers Via told me that that they did what they were told by the police, but not taking ownership of the police were there for the previous guest and not the presentguest so he pretty much said that thats what it happened and theres nothing theyre gonna do about it and hung the phone up in my face I would advise anybody thats thinking of staying here whether its in transition of finding your place or just need a place to stay for the night look elsewhere. You deserve better service. There is horrible. The concierge is Never present at the desk For the price you Are paying look elsewhere where they actually respect their customers and no right from wrong wont find out at this location

      Very clean hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. ATM in the lobby, Rooms were quiet and large. The price was reasonable. The hotel is close to stores, and restaurants.

      DO NOT STAY HERE ***** at the front desk gave my room key to another guest. A male entered my room while my child was asleep and I was just getting out of the shower. I was promised a complete refund on my stay which was originally granted, however, a few days later my card on file was charged again for the full stay because the manager *** claims he did not understand that he and ***** agreed to a full refund and changed his mind. There is no one in corporate to get in touch with and *** refused to provide his fathers (the hotel owner) information.

      Sonesta Essentials in Des Moines Extremely rude and mean during our stay. Lost our deposit. Called my boyfriend ugly. Told us not to come back and then flipped my boyfriend off as we left. We were good guests: polite, quiet, and cleaned up after ourselves. It wasn't my fault they lost our deposit. Would have complained to the manager, but he was standing right there when the employee did it. I should have asked for my money back, but figured if it was that much of a hassle to get my deposit, there was no way to get a refund.

      Will never come back to this place again will encourage other to do not even waste the time .. I stay at the one on Atlanta ************* ever , We stay 4 Nights , Room was never clean before check in , Trash , Dirty Sheets with stains ,Carpet its scary dirty, Bad Smell, No Pillows , no blankets for the 2 Bed , Mattress with stains and dirty and asking for those things was a waste a time . Every time I went to the office we keep getting lots of excuses and promises that never happens and told to come back and speak with the manager whos never available its a waste of money . PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY I give it 1 star because its mandatory otherwise I will give it 0 stars
