My ex-wife hired Move and Improve to move her out of our house. I was asked not to be there so emotionally it would be easier but my sister was at the house to help with the move. When I got home in the evening I noticed considerable damage to the walls and floors. My ex-wife refused to file her own complaint. I then contacted ***************************** and after a few days, ****, responded but the soonest he could come and inspect the damages was 2-1/2 weeks after the move. When he finally arrived, with a contractor friend, they claimed over and over "How do we know this wasn't here before the move?" As luck would have it I had taken a few videos of the house the week before (not because of the move) and showed them the video that showed the walls without damage. Their response, "Anyone can change the date on a video. It's 2023, anyone can photoshop an image."This is a gray area. I did not hire them, my soon to be ex-wife did and she signed a document saying there was no damage even though my sister has pointed out the damage before the movers had left. **** and Move and Improve have taken no responsibility for the thousands of dollars worth of damage. They first claimed everything was wrapped so the scrapes couldn't be from them. My sister said nothing was wrapped. A month after the move **** wrote saying, "We always do a walk through after a move to inspect the property." It took him a month to tell me this and my sister said that never happened.Maybe my experience with them would be different if I had hired them, who knows. What I do know is that **** will take no responsibility for his crew and will blame everything on you.PS. According to Consumer Affairs Move and Improve is not licensed to do home improvement. They were several years ago but their application expired over two years ago.
