    I am submitting a complaint and seeking support to resolve a situation in which PuroClean of Brookline, has, following my questioning of its excessive invoice (~100% higher than its prior cost estimates of ~$10k), levied increasing personal character attacks against me and my wife in a seeming attempt to force me to pay the excessive invoice. PuroClean provided mold remediation services in March 2023 on a short-term ~2.5-week project. During this time, my family, including my newborn child, evacuated our house at PuroClean's guidance. PuroClean provided repeated and consistent total cost estimates of ~$10k, which were documented as part of our daily communications, including on the last day of the project.Over a year later on April 25, 2024, PuroClean issued an invoice that was ~100% higher than its consistent total cost estimates. On May 10th, I noted to PuroClean it is reasonable as an individual contracting with a multi-national corporation that the repeated and documented discussions on total cost estimates were material and influential in how the contract was understood by both parties.On June 10th, PuroClean began sending personal attacks via email to me and to my wife, who never had any dealings with PuroClean, and via text on a personal number that was never provided to PuroClean for usage. On June 11th, I authorized what I thought was the full amount, despite it being ~40% above the ~$10k estimate, as I felt battered and exhausted and wanted the attacks to end. On June 12th, PuroClean stated that my actions to disagree with PuroClean's invoice "disrupt civil society" and violate an oath invoking God.I'm seeking support to resolve this billing dispute, at or about the $10k discussed during the project. I already paid $2.5k as a downpayment in March 2023 at the time of contract signing when the $10k total cost estimate was again provided.     I have not heard from PuroClean of Brookline in response to my BBB complaint submitted to BBB on 06/30. 

    BBB notified me on 07/12 that it has not received a response from PuroClean of Brookline.
