    I had a medical procedure in early Jan 2022, where RSI was due to pay the fee through my employers health insurance. In May 2022, I received a bill from the hospital and was told from RSI this was paid via wire. The hospital claims to not have the money. Now it is Nov 2022 and my account is in collections due to the money never paid to the hospital. RSI says they are working on a resolution but it's been nearly a year. This business practice is unacceptable. My credit worthiness shouldn't be in jeopardy due to this issue where I am in the right to have this resolved. The time and effort over the past year to resolve this issue is very troublesome.

    Responding to Complaint # ******** filed by ******************* against RSI. This is ******************************* EVP of RSI responding. This unfortunately is a misunderstanding by the member **** to what the issue is. The claims in question were paid through ACH and collected by the hospital on 5/19. We made multiple calls to the hospital and collection agency on ****'s behalf since August. The hospital advised us twice that they confirmed our payment and they would update ****'s records. What we uncovered last week was the hospital in fact never notified the collection agency that payment was made. This unfortunately is common in medical billing and can be challenging for a member to understand and creates frustration. This frustration is easier directed at the administration company than the hospital they are seeking care from. However this issue clearly is the hospital failing to update their records with the collection agency they outsource billing to. My team made several calls and spent several hours trying to get this resolved unfortunately we can't control the hospital and their billing practices. ******************* is aware of this and I would hope she would rescind this complaint as we were actually the only ones trying to help her.
