    We found a bed bug in our cabin. While the staff did relocate us (which we appreciated), the way this situation was handled from that point forward was unacceptable.
    We spent two days dealing with cabin changes while traveling with two young children. The first day was spent entirely in limbo—waiting for answers. On the second day, we were finally told at 3 PM that a bed bug had indeed been confirmed.
    We spent over $100 doing laundry, took extensive precautions, and expected a reasonable level of care and accountability from the business. Instead, after the trip, we received a generic email stating, “nothing was found—hope you enjoyed your stay.” Not only is that false, but it’s dismissive.
    Throughout our stay, we tried multiple times to speak with management and were consistently brushed off. We were told we’d receive a follow-up call once the owner was available. That call never came. Just the same canned email, denying the confirmed issue.
    The customer service here is unacceptable. For a business that markets itself as family-friendly and committed to guest care, this experience was deeply disappointing. We’ve been loyal guests in the past, but after this incident and the lack of ownership shown, it’s clear that guest well-being is not a priority. We had been here at least half a dozen times in the past.. This was unfortunately our last time at Pine Acres due to their uncaring and greedy management.
