    BERKSHIRE CUSTOM CARPENTRY started the siding of my house at 43 Pleasant St, Becket MA 01223 in October 2020. I have paid $16,495 and the job is far from completion. The siding materials are deteriorating on the ground. I have received multiple excuses and multiple commitments from Steve Lynch for the last 3 years. I want the job completed. I have run out of patience.

    Hi Folks.  This job had dragged but it's not because of me.  I spoke with ***** on Thursday 9/7/23.  There is another carpenter working on this job. He has to repair rotten wood on the siding and soffits before we can proceed.  I do admit that I have been more in contact with the other carpenter more than the home owner, and I probably should communicate with ***** more.  But anyway.... we have been working on this job for a week now and we are 95% done with the job.  We are just waiting for the soffits to be patched.  The materials have not been damaged by storage.  I am sending pictures to ***** tonight.  I do want to help this customer.  I feel he has bitten off more than he can chew on this project.  He lives in Texas and rarely comes North.  I feel that he doesn't really have a grasp on Massachusetts building codes which are 2nd most stringent in the country.  I really do want to help him.  I am even trying to connect him with a potential buyer that he has expressed interest in.

    I don't blame ***** for being frustrated with the progress but it's just not my fault.  I have brought my crew to the jobsite many times to finish the job thinking that the prep work was done but it just wasn't.  I will be getting this job done as soon as the prep work is done and this crazy weather allows.

    ***** agreed to finish the job as a result of my complaint. He made some progress and August first week of September and then stopped again.

    There there has been no progress in the last 3 weeks.

    The job is still not finished! He has notbody else to blame but himself for these dealys.
