    Hired Thomson Home Improvement to replace an existing deck. Signed the contract on January 10th 2023. We agreed on a tentative stard date of March 1st 2023. I gave him the required deposit in cash. ***** was able to start early. January 17th 2023. Demolished the existing deck and started to frame the new deck. He completed the partial framing on January 19th and according to the contract he was owed an additional payment. He was paid at the end of the day on the 19th of January. That was the last time he showed up. There was some bad weather at different times and did not expect him to come during that time. On January 28th I reached out to ***** checking on the schedule. He said he was wrapping up another job and would be in touch on when he could come back. February 12th 2023 he said he would be there on the 14th. On the 13th he said he was having issues with his truck and didn't think he could make it. On the 19th he said he got in an accident on his motorcycle and needed more time. He then gave me a date of March 15th. March 9th he text and said he would be there on the 12th. No show. I text, called and emailed several times after. On March 20th I called and ***** answered, he apologized for the lack of communication and assured me he would be there on the 22nd of March. Texted him late morning and he said he was on his way. Another no show. I text and called several times since the 22nd. No reply and no answer on the phone. Straight to voicemail. The structure was put up with temporary support and should hot have been left that long with proper support posts. He also backed his truck into my gate and broke it. It was a safety hazzard. I have a signed contract between us and he has definitely broken the contract.

    I have been in business for my self since 2004 and I have had Thomson's Home Improvement since 2016 and this has never happened before. However this was a time in my life where I had many personal/ health issues going on and was unable to live up to the agreed upon work. I wish things would have gone differently but once I was able to complete the work he had already gotten it finished by someone else. If I was given a little more time I would have been able to get everything done for ********. I was more then willing to make things right with him financially but he wouldn't answer my calls after everything happened.

    There was never any contact from ******** Home Improvement since I made the original complaint.    Went to small claims court to try and resolve the issue and nobody showed up.   A Capius was served and no response.    I have no missed calls or voice mails from ***** and can provide phone records to pove it.

    Again things didn't go as planned. I never intended to not complete the job. I take responsibility that I didn't finish the job. I never received a summons to court. I didn't know anything about it.
