Beginning 2/10/24 I enrolled into a dental assistant course at this school. Upon further investigation I spoke with the board of dentistry and discovered the course is not board approved nor is it accredited. I paid $2,106 over a six month period before finding out the program was not approved or accredited. I requested a refund twice for the total amount paid ($2,106) and I have received nothing in response. The owner has continued to send me biweekly invoices despite my withdrawal from the course and refund request. I have confirmed with the dental registration board that this class is not valid and there for I cannot become a registered dental assistant via this course. The owner also told me that the graduation date would be late August however the course was approximately 6 months behind that timeline due to the poor time management of said owner, *************************. ****** also stated he is a dentist, within my research I have found out he is not a dentist and is rather a dental office consultant and sells dental offices.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/26/2024

Thank you for reaching out, I apologize for the delayed response as I was unable to respond.

    1. Our program is approved by the Commonwealth of MA, ******** of ************ Licensure, and the MA. ***** of ********* as an accepted dental assistant school that allows the board to ************************ Licensure to our students upon completion of course requirements. "Licensure" as a dental assistant is what's required in the State of *************. So, we are confused by the statement, "not board accredited" in her email dated July 18th, 2024.

    2. In reference to poor instruction and delayed graduation, the student missed significant time, according to our records over (8+) classes since the beginning of the program of both online and clinical instruction. The current program is a Saturday only program, and has a longer span of classes than our weekly programs that operate (2) classes per week.

    3. I, *************************, have never claimed to be a dentist, I was a preventive dental specialist in the Army Dental Corp for (8+) years and able to perform expanded duties chairside. I have worked in and managed dental practices for over 30 years.

    4. Program Payment, the claimant is severely past due in her tuition payments and is pending collections. Our attached record of payment support the fact that she has only paid $1,571.00, out of the $3,995.00.

    5. Please review the attached email from the claimant received (8) days ago (attached). This is the first mention of terminating the school contract. Her second request was sent only 3 days ago.

Lastly, according to the claimant in late May, she had been hired and working in Alpha Dental as a steri-tech, based on her enrollment in the school and instruction in dentistry.

We are happy to provide any further documentation required.
