The school was given doctors notes, etc., for a minor anxiety attack that I had after a discussion. The director asked me to not come backuntil the next semester hesitantly, I agreed then the director said that she wanted me to see a shaman before I returned to the school, which I refuse to do that is illegal to ask somebody to do at which time she said I was combative disagreeing and they could be no resolution found, and she refused toallow me to come back to the School. She said that there was no sense in having these conversations and they were going nowhere and that I was the problem and that she wasreturning all of the money for the loan of which she did not do and now the loan company is looking to me for some of money that I should not owe because she did not allow me to finish school and I am not making the income I should be making. She stole money. And she severely interfered with my income.

I am writing to provide a detailed and transparent account of the events that led to the termination of **** Schultzs enrollment in our 650-hour massage therapy training program, in accordance with ethical and professional standards and consistent with applicable refund laws.

**** ******* signed an enrollment contract with our school on July 31, 2023. Subsequently, a student loan was disbursed on her behalf by ********, a private education finance company. **** began attending class on September 12, 2023.

On September 19, 2023, **** inquired about what would be needed to drop out of school. She expressed concern about her academic performance and questioned whether she could keep up with the program. I explained that a formal letter of withdrawal would be required, and that she would be financially responsible for the first quarter of the program period. After receiving this information, **** chose to remain enrolled. Following that decision, she demonstrated that she was capable of succeeding academically by achieving high marks in her academic classes as well as strong evaluations in her bodywork retention critiques.

On September 26, 2023, **** called me to let me know she would be absent on September 28th. She explained that she had been detained at **************************** for a week. After her release, she submitted documentation from the hospital affirming that she had been discharged without restrictions, and her nurse attested to her mental stability. Based on this documentation, we permitted her to resume participation in the program.

**** continued without incident until October 24, 2023, when a fellow student, ***** ********, reported a classroom incident involving ****. During a practical exercise, **** became agitated in response to feedback and called her classmate a derogatory name. The instructor, ****** ****, intervened, but ***** behavior escalated to include verbal hostility and profanity directed at the instructor.

The next day, I contacted **** for a phone meeting to address her classroom behavior. During that conversation, **** acknowledged that she was struggling with mental health challenges. I encouraged her to consult a licensed clinician and suggested she consider a temporary leave from the program to focus on her well-being. I also informed her that she was entitled to pause enrollment for up to two semesters without further tuition accrual from that date forward.

A few weeks later, **** contacted me again to request more information regarding her leave options. However, during a follow-up phone call, she became verbally abusive toward me. At that point, I made the decision to terminate her enrollment from the program.

Following her termination, a prorated refund was calculated and issued in compliance with the Massachusetts RATA refund law, based on the portion of the program **** had completed. I worked directly with her loan provider, ********, to ensure the refund was processed accurately.

We strive to uphold a respectful, safe, and supportive learning environment for all students. While we aim to accommodate personal challenges as compassionately as possible, we also have a responsibility to protect the integrity of the classroom and the well-being of our staff and students.

Please let me know if further documentation or clarification is required.
