In mid-December 2024 Rapid Masonry & Construction LLC approached my parents and offered to paint their aging side steps. My parents were hesitant to proceed, the person from Rapid did not give them a quote or any paperwork. He offered to sand and repaint the steps for $1200 cash, my parents agreed but asked specifically how that could work in such cold temperatures. The Rapid employee told my parents they would use a "special paint" that would work in cold temps. The team showed up later, spent the rest of the day sanding and painting.Within days of job the paint being applied it began to peel and chip. Upon closer inspection it was clear there were globs and drips all over.I then posted a review of this experience on ******, explaining what happened to warn others. About a week later the owner responded via Goofle and accused me of posting a fake review, and demanded pictures- which I posted. ***** [the owner] then approached my parents AT THEIR HOME and demanded the post be removed. My parents insisted on a refund. ***** left and returned in an hour later with $1000 cash [despite my parents paying $1200]. ***** then pressured my father into signing a note committing to have me remove my post. My mother expressed concerns to me that they felt unsafe and harassed.I called the company, left a voicemail and also texted them- informing ***** to leave my parents alone or they would call the police. On Jan 13 he texted back, using profanities and accusing me of drug use and prostitution, and said he would "handle this his own way." I informed him I would be filing a complaint with the BBB, which leads me to this complaint. I reminded him my parents will call the police if they see him again, he is behaving very unprofessionally and has crossed over into harassment.
