  My father was the heart of our family and the captain of every adventure we ever took on the water. When he passed away last year, my mother and I were still reeling from the loss as we sorted through his estate, including a small sailboat he ********* that fragile moment, we turned to ******* ********************** of ********************** Yacht Brokerage. We believed Mr. ********************** would honor my fathers memory by helping us decide what to do with the boat. Instead, we received the shock of our lives: a demand for twenty years of brokerage services fees services we never requested, never approved, and never saw documented in any signed agreement.While we were still planning a memorial, Mr. ********************** was sending invoices quoting vague contract clauses that, in our view, were designed to confuse grieving families like ours. He has yet to produce a single page bearing my fathers or our signatures. Worse, most of the fees reach back well beyond the six-year Massachusetts statute of limitations for contract claims (M.G.L. c. 260 2).The timing felt predatory: my fathers obituary had hardly left the local paper before the first invoice arrived. When I politely asked for proof of any agreement, I was met with legal-sounding jargon about customary brokerage relationships and threats of collection action.Public records already show BBB complaint #******** and a detailed Yelp review describing similar behavior. Sadly, our experience fits that ********** father taught us to stand up for whats right on and off the water. In that spirit, we are fighting these baseless fees and sharing our story so other families wont be blindsided during their own times of grief. In our opinion, no one should entrust a beloved vessel or their peace of mind to this brokerage without written, signed terms and rigorous due diligence.
