Thank you to everyone at the Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital in caring for our puppy Mochi earlier this week. All of the staff members were friendly, professional and polite starting with my phone call on my way in to bring Mochi. The only form I signed and dated was a consent for treatment for our puppy Mochi. I was provided a written quote for Mochi’s care that night which included the exam by the Emergency Veterinarian and any imaging he might need. Mochi does have **********insurance which does not cover any exams fees by veterinarians. However, VESH did not submit any invoices to Mochis ***********insurance and told me that the veterinarian who examined him wanted to wait until Mochi would be seen by his veterinarian at the Animal Hospital closer to where we live. I offered to pay the exam fee and was told by one of the nurses there that there was no charge. They apologized for the wait and told me that Mochi and I were all set to go as long as I was in agreement with the plan. Thank you very much for taking such good care of Mochi earlier this week! I appreciate all of the staff there who took care of Mochi. I highly recommend VESH! Hopefully, the need will not arise again, however, if there are any emergencies with our 3 dogs in the future, I will personally drive back to VESH myself. Thank you! ***************

I had some concerns about my k9, ranging from paw discoloration to her eating things she wasn't supposed to. I asked for X-ray and blood test, I waited about 3hrs to get charged 200 plus dollars for just a temperature reading and nothing else. While we waited in a small room towards the back of this Veterinarian hospital staff was slamming the back door quite a few times, agitating my pet, and it was very uncomfortable for her and I at one point I heard one staff say they didn't care and so I waited all that time with no good result they didn't even attempt to check her properly very disappointed because now I'm out of the funds I saved for her medical emergency and now I have no choice but to wait with worry about my concerns until I can save this money for her, someone must make things better. Is a shame businesses can get a license and call themselves a ********************** to still peoples savings.

I have used this facility twice before this being the 3rd for my dog,she had been off her food for 2&1/2 days, diarrhea, anorexia. They have in the past treated her with metrothiazole as well as probiotics,They did about 15-1600.$ dollars testing ect xrays. All normal.I was to prepare a bland diet, Its 205 am she's still having diarrhea,I called and told them I would need to have flagal for her the metrothiazole once she starts this diarrhea or won't stop she's lost several lbs in a short time, there are more tests results to come. I just knew this was wrong so I told the tech before leaving yo please ask the vet for the med. To halt the diarrhea but the vet said no.I understand the theory but if you don't stop the diarrhea she will wither away. They said they would call it to Walgreens..They didn't and The calls were disconnected or hung up several times. The woman I spoke to last had an angry aggressive tone and I told her so.My impression is stress and inability to handle the situation as it escalates.Well she's still having diarrhea and tomarrow I hope to have the med she needs to halt it .Then the probiotics will help. This has been a reoccurring event and Could turn life threatening. The last woman I did spoke with slammed the phone down. I would not know how to recommend the facility as it was today..My poor dog .I was a nurse for 40 years and it is difficult and stressful dealing with emergencies and patients and their families but I learned very quickly that the best way to respond to angry upset people is with kindness and listen it take less time overall Because the communication saves time in the end. Some of the staff were kind and understanding.I don't really care if people are rude and short with me I'm still going to try to help my dog.

**** behaved unprofessionally and then contradicted themselves about the diagnosis of our dog. They did not perform standard testing before prescribing one of the meds, and also did not tell us we could give it as needed. After our dog died, we spoke to our regular vet who was not happy with the treatment VESH gave. Said we should have had an inhaler. Our daughter is a tech at another hospital and said the same thing. But that wasn't our only bad experience there. We had similar bad experiences with other pets before, and with our dog there. The only reason we ever went back is because there isn't another 24 hr vet in the area. Otherwise, we would never have gone back. We've heard similar bad experiences from many other pet owners at VESH.

Brought our two year old male cat into this facility for urinary issues. We were told he had a blockage and they needed to catheterize him.Bloodwork was normal and he stayed there for two days.We picked him up and were sent home with gabapentin for anxiety even though we repeatedly stated that he was not an anxious cat.Following day things declined fast!We were told he was obstructed again and needed to be catheterized again for a minimal of ***** hours!Bloodwork this time wasnt good and he had a uti. They put him on antibiotics (which they should have done after the first procedure).Literally every doctor I spoke to there was giving us different stories.I called to check on him early in the morning and was told they pulled the catheter!I was shocked because it hadnt even been the 36 hours!I couldnt get an answer from them as to why they did this.Woman **** on the phone was extremely rude and didnt want to give me any updates on my cat.She just insisted that I pick him up at 1pm! I stated that I didnt feel comfortable doing this if I couldnt get an update or explanation as to why they pulled the catheter early. In a snarky rude manner she stated that a doctor would call me that afternoon and I scheduled a 6pm pick up.Doctor called me around 4pm to tell me that my cat had an infection,it was in the bladder and was obstructed again. Then continued to tell me that the catheter came out early because she pulled it out on her own!I immediately corrected her on the *** of my cat being a male and that I was told that they removed it.After being on a brief hold she tells me that she wasnt talking about my cat,she was talking about someone elses! She was confused!Ultimately we ended up losing our 2 year old healthy indoor ************* due to these peoples negligence and incompetence!I am 100% convinced that the multiple incompetent doctors who couldnt communicate amongst each other properly were the reason we lost our precious boy.Stay away from this place!!
