    Purchase date 8/29/24, transaction processed 8/30/24 for $500. I purchased a belt for $45. The merchant confirms transaction but refuses to provide me with an itemized schedule of goods. This prevents me from pursuing with my bank, ****. Merchant threatened to call police on me when I requested this info. Proof of purchase and image of belt were provided by me to merchant via text message.

    Customer was charged $500.00 per **** slip. We do not track items individually, so this could have been more than one item totaling $500.00. We do not use stickers on the belts like the one in the picture the customer provided.

    Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered. 

    I strongly disagree with the merchants' position as they do not have ledger to back up a transaction made by consumer in good-faith. I have already provided an image of the AUTHENTIC price tag including the merchants' name (SUR TAN). For the merchant to claim that it is not authentic is absolutely ridiculous. If you would like me to resend, I would be happy to. Ultimately, I am afraid that Sur Tan has pulled this scam on many before being called out on it by me. The belt was purchased off the Sale Rack at $45, and was the sole purchase. No other items were purchased. The onus is on Sur Tan to produce a ledger of transactions, as a responsible business should maintain. Further, it leads me to wonder whether Sur Tan has been conducting this underhanded business conduct upon other trusting customers, while avoiding taxes via irresponsible record keeping.
