This company bill me $42 for a month worth of car washes and then denied services and refused to refund me the money I paid them. The money was withdrawn directly from my bank account through an electronic transfer which constitutes wire fraud.Business Response

On July 1, 2024 I went through Golden Nozzle car wash. the next day I noticed scratches all over my car. I was told to fill out incident report and would be called. After a week I called them, was told manager was on Vacation would call next day. No call, I called back was told my "Incident claim" was denied. Went down showed my car to ***********************, who saw them. Said he would relook at things. Was told the next day denied - scratches we "not consistent" with how their rollers/brushes go" These scratches are deep and through the paint. They are not in just one area but all over my car, and whole car will need to be repainted. I want Golden Nozzle to cover the cost of the paint job. I have not gone to get my car washed since and have had them cancel the monthly pass. Still no Manager has reached out to me or called. Only **************** has called and said there was nothing he could do.Business Response

We meet with the customer and removed scuff marks that she claimed were scratches. The cloth used to clean the top of vehicles does not apply enough force to cause this type of damage, it's just cloth hanging from a basket. We washed other cars before and after this customer with no one else claiming damage.Customer Answer

I do not accept this response as it was not just "scuff" marks. The photos clearly show that there was deep (down through the paint) scratches and the location of them all (sides, top and all around the car) are consistent with where the brushes/rollers hit the car. To merely brush this off as "Scuff Marks" and claim that "no one else has made a complaint" is dismissive (lucky you that not more people have made a claim). Just because no one else has made a claim does not discount my claim or the damage done to the vehicle. Yes, someone came out with a cloth and rubbed some of the marks, but he also acknowledged that there were deep scratches that when rubbed only took the dirt out of the ****** of scratches. If this was only scuff marks I would not be so upset, but due to the damage being all over my car and with them being so deep, it will effect the protection and quality of the car. Take a better look at the photos and you will see.

Scuff marks were removed from the sides of the vehicle unrelated to the Car Wash. There was a deep scratch on the top of vehicle at the beginning of the sunroof, also unrelated to the Car Wash. This scratch is not consistent with cloth that hangs from a basket. You cannot duplicate that kind of force from hanging soft cloth. The same cloth that washed the front of the roof also washed the back of the roof, hood, and trunk. Something with that much force hanging from a piece of cloth would've damaged the entire top of the vehicle, and also other vehicles before and after the claimant. Again no one else made a complaint, and the scuff marks on the side of the vehicle were removed.

I am rejecting this response because: IF you look at the photos (again attached for you to really look at) it is all over the top of my car, as well as along the sides and front of the car. Yes, actually you can see they way the scratches are in a wavy pattern is consistent with the way the car wash moves over the car (you can see the sway of them in the way the car is scratched). Only a few scuff marks were removed not all as claimed in your response as well as the attempt to remove them from the top (which could not be removed). Again I am sure I am not the only person to ever have a complaint or problem with the car wash scratching the car, just because no one noticed them or has come forward from that day does not mean it did not happen. I am looking for compensation for the paint repairs that will be needed to correct the damage your company had caused.

7/5/24 at 4:35 I entered golden nozzle on Boston rd. Wilbraham. Went through the car wash and realized my fog plate was missing and bumper under that was torn. Went back to golden nozzle to retrieve the fog plate from the worker who found it inside the car wash. I have video leaving my home around 4:15 and headed straight to golden nozzle proof on my driving app. Filed a claim, denied of course. Spoke with district manager Al who doesn't want Golden Nozzle to take any responsibility over the bumper damage. Paid subscription on 2 vehicles for years with them. Least they can do is take accountability for something inside that car wash that caused obvious damage.Business Response

I spoke with the customer and looked into this claim. I found the equipment was working fine that day. We washed 383 cars that day and we had no other problems. We continued to wash cars right after the customer claimed damage, and no other customers cars had any problems that day. We feel strongly that were not responsible for the damage of this vehicle.Initial Complaint

I brought my brand new vw jetta for a was at the golden nozzle car wash on maple st in ********* the mirror cap called a skull cap was ripped off the car by there wash machines. Camera footage shows it being ripped off. I filled out an incident report . The manager **** said he woul reimburse me the full amount. It has been over a month and have not been paid. They took all my paper work with the dates and the estimate from the body shop which was just under $200.00. They don't answer their phones can't get in touch with anyone. The are a disgusting bunch of dirty dealers!Business Response

Please note this matter was resolved with the customer. We had told him we would cover the damages unfortunately our internal process for customer reimbursement takes 1-2 Months and he was not happy with that time frame and filed the complaint. We are currently updating our procedures to reduce this time for future incidents.

Saturday, March 16 I took my brand new 2024 Land Rover Defender through the ************************ Golden Nozzle location. Prior to entering the car wash my vehicle was in perfect shape. Video from the car wash shows that upon entering the car wash no damage was shown on my car, After the car wash, close *** of the video prior to entering the wash compared to close *** of pictures taken of the car after show the signs of the damage incurred. I checked my car and saw after that entire vehicle was covered in tiny dings, including the windshield and front camera. Chips of glass are missing and front bumper and top hood have dings of chipped. The sides of the vehicle where the plastic bumpers are over the tires show scratches and scrapes as well as the back glass black panels and to the back spare tire cover. I immediately spoke to the manager, *** who came over to inspect the vehicle with me, and watched the video footage and said the camera footage shows my car had no damage entering the car wash. *** and I took pictures of my car. I filled out a paper incident report . March 19 I spoke to *** again and he told me that your district manager ************************* refused to take responsibility for the damages. I drove to Springfield location where. spoke to the manager ** who emailed ******* to contact me. I got no response from *******. I had to dig fro Rollands number as nobody would give it to me, When I spoke to him he said the investigation was closed despite his never having contacted me to hear my side or the see the photos of my car. He said that they were not accountable for the damage and that they believed it was just "road rash." I left a message for the customer service line two times and emailed and still not heard from anyone. I also left a message for ******, the head of the district team and have not heard from him. I was able to view the video of the car wash with *** and it clearly shows my car was fine before and damaged after the wash.Business Response

I met with ************************* today to take a look at the vehicle. The damage she pointed out is rock chip damage. This happens from the vehicles in front you while driving. The tires from the vehilces in front of you pick up rocks especially trucks like 18 wheelers and they send them flying up in the air and they hit front of cars causing chips in the paint on the front bumpers, windshields, hood & side mirrors usually from highway driving because of the higher speeds. It can also occasionaly cause damage to the side of the cars but it mostly causes rock chips on the front of the vehicles. This is why there are so many liitle chips on the front of ********** car. I also did an investigation and there was nothing wrong with the car wash equipment it was in fine working order the day she went through. ******** was the only one to claim such damage as we washed 109 cars before she went through with no problems and 371 cars after she went through with no other problems. Also on camera we washed a new looking ****** Audi and a brand new Jeep with a really nice blue paint job right before and after she went through the car wash. They all had no problems. We have customers that go through everyday with unlimited wash passes that have brand new cars and have no problems. The camera is not going to pick up these little specs of chipped paint before she went through because they are so small. Best thing to do to prevent these is get a clear mask for the front of the car. I have copied and paste a website that talks about the areas that are most vulnerable to stone chips and what they provide to protect the vehicle. In conclusion there is no way the car wash caused this damage.

I am rejecting this response because:I have your car wash's direct video as proof of my car entering the car wash spotless and exiting the car wash with white specs of chipped paint and scratches and are including as proof from the screen shots directly from the video. Your own manager stated to me after looking at my car and then the video that the damage happened in the wash. I just had this vehicle serviced at Land Rover for new upgrades to be made and they have attested to the fact that the vehicle had no such damage to it. I have video of the vehicle from Land Rover during that time that shows them working on it and how it looked after and it is indeed spotless. I have owned the car for four months. From October to ******* not a single chip. Middle of ******* is when I got my car back from Land Rover and not a chip. So I would have to drive through a sand storm in these past few months to have the sort of damage I have ti my car. This is a $100,000 vehicle. It is meant for off roading. It is built to take sand, dirt, hail. So regular driving could inflict this damage. Not to mention the fact that I also have an image showing parts of fabric from your blue drying mops stuck to my car afterwards.
Whether or not nobody else had any issues that day with your car wash is of no importance. You don't tell a person in a car accident that the damage to their car doesn't count because that person didn't hit anyone else that day. The point is, my car is damaged and your car wash clearly did it. My body shop gave me an estimate of over $18,000.00 to bring my car back to factory standards based off the damage they investigated. I would also like to state that while you may not have find mechanical issues with your brushes, when was the last time they were properly cleaned? My car showed no excessive amount of dirt on it when it came through, meaning that it was not an ****** dirty car I was driving that was at fault nor can the excuse be made that dirt was covering the chips and I just didn't notice them before entering the wash. I expect full cover of damages to be paid by your business or I will be having my lawyer reach out to you.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:Your cameras picked up the rock chips as I exited the car wash, so why would they not pick them up when I entered? It was not just chips to the vehicle, it was literally scratches caused by your brushes n the sides of the car and on the back. That is not something that happens while driving and not something that was there when I came through the wash. When did you last have the brushes replaced? When were they last cleaned? I am not interested in how the other cars went through the wash that day. I have proof from your cameras that show my car fine going in and chipped coming out. It is simple as that.

I have testimony from the car wash attendant that day who stated that after viewing the video he believed the damage to my car was not on it when I entered and was there as I left and the business was at fault.
The business stated in their defense here that the damage could not show up on the video. However, the pictures I originally submitted of the screenshots of the video of my car have closeups of the same range of the same areas on my car and the ones of my car entering do not show the chips and the ones of my car exiting the car wash even as it was still going through it do show the damage. Furthermore, it was not just the chipped paint that was part of my complaint. It was also the scratches to the sides and back of my car that came from the brushes used on it. Scratches that no "road rash" could ever cause.
I have used this car wash several times before this incident without ever having an issue. My car remains garaged at all times and I inspect it daily. I would also like to note that the district manager never reached out to me regarding my complaint. He closed his investigation with the refusal to accept responsibility before ever even looking at my vehicle or speaking with me. I had to **** down the owner through a deep ****** search as nobody would give me either the district managers contact information or the regional managers.
I have included more photos for you to see the car in close up before and after the car wash as well as showing the blue fiber stuck to my vehicle from the large drying strips that got caught onto one of the chipped areas.

Testimony is given under oath in a court room it can also be given in writing through an
affidavit or deposition which the manager was not.The manager said he did not say what *************************** is claiming.
I also took a look at the video that we allowed *************************** to look at and take pictures of when her $100,000 vehicle was exiting the car wash.
She is claiming scratches and damage are where she circled on the pictures.
Those are actually reflections of the sky and off the ground.
In conclusion there is no way the car wash caused this damage and we are not responsible for this claim.
Customer Answer
Date: 04/11/2024
Complaint: 21460223
I am rejecting this response because:It would be impossible to have reflections from the sky when car is inside the car wash. It is not possible for reflections from the ground to come up and curve there way to the top of my car. Most importantly, the exact areas of damages I have circled in the photo line up exactly with the damaged spots on the car, so it would be a miracle that "reflections" just happen to also be in the same exact places where the chipped paint is.
I have 3 witnesses who heard your manager state that the damage was caused by the car wash and who can testify to that if need be. I want your company to pay the amount of over $18,000 in damages to my car.

I have 2 car wash passes. The one in question is 53981+574191, for $19.99 per month. The other pass, ************ has no issues and is $26.99 per month. Since October 2023 I have been being charged $19.99 and $26.99 to my card on, or about, the 3rd of every month. This month, January 2024, I was charged $19.99 on the third and the 20th. After speaking to 2 different people in the office they insist it is for August or September of 2023? They were suppose to send me over proof of this but have failed to do so. They sent me something that shows nothing. I am attaching the payments taken off my social security card. Unfortunately, I can only go back till October. I do not owe any money for six or so months ago, I was never sent the usage for the car wash pass in August or September (*************. There is no way I have been using this pass since October without paying! They refused to refund me the $19.99 that was taken out of my account on the 20th. On November 7th, 2023 I drove my 2020 Ford Escape through the Golden Nozzle car wash in *******, **. While in the beginning of the car wash an error message came up on the dash stating "Align left front tire" and the low tire pressure monitor system came on following by the car honking which made the attendant stop the wash. I put tire shine on the tires regularly and did not have and scuff marks on my rims. I did fill out an incident report with the attendant. I have called the business 3 times. During the month of September 2022, I entered into an agreement with Golden Nozzle Car Wash in ********** , **. Why choose a BBB Accredited Business?BBB Business Profiles may not be reproduced for sales or promotional purposes.
BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
