      My son was born Jan 31, 2021 at Baystate Medical. My employer negated to tell me there was only a 30 day window to add my son to our health insurance policy, so there was miscommunication for a short while in regards to who was going to be receiving the medical billing. Fortunately, my employer was able to backdate the insurance date so my ******************************** would cover straight through our hospital stay with no lapse in coverage, this is including my son and anything he received while under Baystate's care as well. All the medical bills were covered except for my son's circumsision, which was $950. Since March of 2021, I have been back and forth between **** and Baystate ObGYN trying to figure out how to get this problem resolved, with both companies pointing the finger at eachother saying it's the other's fault between claim deadlines and appeals. The transcripts attached are what Baystate asked for and that they would file an appeal, which never happened. I spoke to **** AGAIN in September of 2023, and they stated the same thing but that yet again I could appeal this decision. I am now six weeks pregnant and Baystate ObGYN is refusing to see me until this balance is paid, which is appaulling. This has caused such stress and emotional turmoil and I'm not sure where else to go to get some assistance with possibly getting this resolved. I don't understand how all my medical bills were covered yet my son's were not, though everything was backdated accordingly. I understand it is now over three years since the occurance, but as a full-time working mother and wife who is also back in school, I have spent a lot of time trying to find a way to have this resolved. If documentation from the **** conversation is needed from this past September, please let me know so I can submit for a copy of their decision per my conversation with them.
