On July 18th 2024, I attended Robins ******** for. New Patient Eye exam. This transaction was paid out of pocket for a total $160. This amount was charged from my bank account on 7/19/2024. A few weeks after, I received a text message from Robins ******** stating I had a balance on my account. I replied questioning the balance and proceeded to inform them the transaction for the amount they were billing me went through. I made nothing else of the matter as I was certain I had no debt with the office. On 3/13/2025, I received a bill from Robins Eyecare requesting the same amount. On Friday 3/14/2025, I decided to go personally with a bank statement in hand which showed proof of the payment being removed from my account. When I arrived, I explained my reason for visit and the staff told me the owner was in charge of these matter. An older Caucasian female with eyeglasses approached me and began to speak to me stating that "her bank did not receive the money". I explained that unfortunately, that was not my problem. I then proceeded to say that I paid with my debit card and have proof from my bank showing the transaction being processed successfully. She continued to press on the matter as to trying to get me to make the payment. I then requested the staff member to make a copy of my bank statement (with account information redacted) and keep it for their investigation records.
