  As a knowledgeable homeowner who had some challenges with keeping water out of the garage and basement, I talked with eight different excavating and waterproofing businesses. Some had solutions, others did not, but I was not comfortable with any of their prices, nor confident in their plans. Gold Standard Excavation was the ninth business I called, as a friend of mine informed me that they successfully waterproofed his foundation and built an interior French drain in the basement. Gold standard created a plan that worked. They were the only business that actually tested my land for rock underneath the lawn, and they were the only ones who could actually explain their plan, and effectively communicate how it would work.The project was difficult. It entailed a lot of excavating, finding a proper location for a soak-away, and figuring out how to get the water to the soak-away due to the pitch of the land and some of the large rock underneath the soil. To make a long story short, GSE created a drainage system that worked to keep the water away from my home, as the drain easily expels all of the driveway rainwater to the soak-away pit, which is underground and nit visible.Additionally. ***** and his crew rebuilt my walkway, and erected a retaining wall on each side of my driveway. They used pavers to fill the five-foot space in between the drain and my garage, and the their masonry work was some of the best I have seen. Quite simply. Gold Standard is one of, is not THE, best company I have used -- for anything. They are fair, take pride in their work, and communicative beyond what you would expect in this line of work. -****** *****

  Excellent service from responding to text messages, sending an electrician and having his crew install our sump pump. Didnt have to worry about anything, and the whole process took 2 days. Highly recommended and would use them again!!
