    brother model MFC-L3770CDW SER. NO. U65180M0N343185 about 6months ago, a paper (or several papers) jammed in my machine; the jam measured 8 1/2" x 1/8" located between 2 rollers. It took me weeks to remove the paper with tweezers as it would not move. i contacted brother product support and was advised to bring the machine to ************************ of *********, **. i contacted them and they informed me that home-use machines need be repaired by Geeks-On-Site. On contacting G-O-S, i made an appointment at the VERY high price of $159/hr plus an additional $50 for the home visit, to which i agreed. The 'tech' was congenial and i left him to do his work BUT at the end of an hour, he informed me he did not know what was wrong with my machine... he spent an hour (for which i was chrged an additional $159) talking on his phone afterwhich he 'suggested' replacing the Fuser (Fixing) Unit; got his 'boss' on the line and i was told the part cost $508; looking on line, i found Precision Roller of ******* had the exact part for $259. i placed my order and it arrived several days later. When i removed the parts getting to the Fuser, i found that a part below the fuser had snapped loose and there were still chunks of paper obstructing its use! Had the 'tech' bothered to open the back of the machine, he'd have found the broken part and cleaned out the paper!!! i now have a very expensive paperweight for which i paid much too much for a failed repair!!!awaiting your reply(/ies)
