    I paid for two overnights but stayed just one overnight due to an extremely sick pup. We paid for 9-20 to 9-22 but left 9-21. I also paid for a jar of honey close to $20.00. We never saw her throughout our stay. We were the only people there. I texted her explaining the problem, but she refused to give us a refund she stated she would give us a refund but didn't She has been dragging it on. Saying the check was mailed on the 24th of this month if it was, I should have received it by now. She lies so I can't believe what she states as I have a text saying she would give me a refund. the reason she refused to refund our was she stated it was her livelihood.

    Ms. Durnee left a day early due to her new puppy being ill. As per our cancellation policy, it wasnt refundable, so I offered her a credit and mailed her an $18 check for the honey with a handwritten note expressing empathy for her troubles. 

     

    A week later I was subjected to an abusive text accusing me of stealing and lying. The check and card never made it to her, as she had failed to provide me the correct address street number. 

     

    Thus, I returned the already returned check/card as evidence to her she wasnt swindled. In addition, HipCamp, per my request, had already digitally refunded her, so I asked her to simply rip up check.

     

    Per her accusation of not seeing me during stay, thats how we respect our guests - PRIVACY.

     

    HipCamp already has this as a case, as she had reached out to them as well for a full refund.

     

    Although, I dont choose to write public reviews of guests, I will say here that I would not feel safe having this person on our property again given the unwarranted abuse to my personhood & integrity.
