      My daughter attends Ski Club on Tuesday nights with her high school. On Tuesday February 7th she accidentally left a portable cell phone charger and a charging cable on a bench at the mountain. The items were turned into Lost & Found. We called to inquire if they had been turned in, and when we were told yes, we gave my daughter's name (Carrina Cook) and told them she'd be back on Tuesday the 14th to pick up the items.

      On the 14th my daughter called me from the mountain and told me she had gone to Lost & Found and was told her items had been given away the day before, to a boy who had asked for them. We did not ask anyone to pick up the items for us and do not even know anyone who matches the description of the boy. I immediately called and spoke to someone at customer service, who confirmed that they were given to a stranger. She stated that they don't have a policy regarding returning lost items and that they will give the items to anyone who asks for them. I reminded her that they had my daughter's name and knew that she would be coming to pick them up on the 14th. She reiterated that they have no policy and will give them to whoever.

      She offered to have a manager call me the next day and I asked for her to please be sure someone called me. I never heard from them again.

We get so much stuff turned in to lost and found that it is sometimes difficult to keep track of what's what. We will happily reimburse you for the items.
