The beginning was 3/21 and it ended 8/22, I had a fire at my house, and I hired this contractor to do extensive repairs on my house. I did not pay this contractor, my insurance company, ******** paid him. His last part of the work was to replace 6 windows. I got the last check, he brought me to cash it, (I stupidly) gave him the whole check amount. To this day, I have not heard from him. I have left numerous texts, and phone calls. I called my Insurance Adjuster and who got ahold of the contractor and was told that I would be receiving a phone call soon. There are also some small jobs that he left incomplete. I am frustrated beyond my limits. There are many more details. Please feel free to call (after 12:00 is the best time) or email me. Thank you in advance for you attention to this matter.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I asked numerous times for a copy of the contract, but was never provided with a copy. I was given a blank signature page and asked to sign it with the knowledge that as soon as the contract was completed, a copy would be given to me. I also would like to know why I was told over and over that the 6 windows would be purchased and installed for free. Dan told me numerous times that if I signed the Certificate of Completion then the final check would be sent, and he would be able to get the windows, and install them for free. He even told me that the last couple of unfinished little details would be completed when the windows came in (fixing a problem with the bow window, stapling the wire from the pellet stove to the thermostat, etc.). I would like to see receipts for the bow window as I was told different amounts that it cost to purchase it. Regarding all of the overages, there were numerous things on the insurance contract that were not completed and without the copy of the contract from Dan, there isn’t any way to compare the amounts.

    Sincerely,
