    Last week I brought my **** Acura into the Meineke located in **************. I had found an A/C recharge coupon in our local circular, and needed a recharge done before summer set in. They took my car and I left to do some shopping. Two hours later I returned and saw my car up on the lift in the garage. The person behind the counter informed me that I had a leak in my A/C compresser so they could not do the recharge. They quoted me a price around $1,300 to replace the compressor. They also said they found some other things wrong with my car. Since I have my own garage that I use for major work, and the price seemed very high to me, I declined having the work done at Meineke. I still had to pay the $289 recharge fee (with coupon) even though I got nothing done. I did have the A/C compressor repair done at my own garage and it was less than Meineke quoted. I went back to Meineke with my other car that I was hoping could have the A/C recharge work done (that I already paid for). The person behind the counter said they could only recharge my Acura. Needless to say I was very disappointed and felt I was being scammed. The manager did not offer any resolution to the matter, which I felt was very unfair.
