Two root canals and two crowns were done over the summer of this year. The dental office told me that I would have to pay up front before any services were rendered and that they would submit the claims to both of my insurance plans Metlife Dental and Cigna Dental. Upon receiving the above procedures and paying out of pocket over $2,000 I have had no luck in getting monies owed to me through the patient reimbursement process . Highland Dental has been giving me the run around since **** saying that they have submitted claims to both insurance companies. I have been in contact with Metlife dental and they stated that they did receive claims. However Cigna Dental; whom I have contacted so many times via email, phone, chat, mail and fax have yet to reimburse me for my claims that I have submitted through the proper channels via their claim forms with receipts as instructed and have mailed twice and faxed twice. They have stated that Highland Dental only submitted one claim which was denied in July due to error on their part due to a coding error that they were supposed to fix. After numerous attempts of getting a hold of them and having them resend the claims to Cigna they still have not done so. They do not respond to my calls, voicemails or emails. Upon submitting the claims and receipts yet again I received a letter from ***** stating that they can not process my claims since Highland Dental did not have their tax Id on any of the receipts. I have left them messages and Highland Dental is refusing to give me their tax id. I notified Cigna of this and they were not able to provide it to me since it is a privacy violation? Cigna has contacted the dental office and they were told by the office manager that they were waiting for the *** statements from Met Life. I contacted ******** and they did receive them as well as partial payment for one of the procedures. No claims have been submitted to ***** and I would like this to be resolved and receive reimbursement.
