    Hired this company to tear down our existing porches including the foundation and rebuild. We were told that once they started it would be five to six weeks for completion. We are now going into six months and nowhere near completion. Everything is partially finished. We kept our end of the contract by paying him when payments were due, and now he wants most of what is left of the balance so he can buy the rest of the materials. We told him we were not paying him anymore money until everything is completed, which is in the contract. He now said he wont come back for another four to six weeks because we wouldnt pay him.

    Good morning, we have a service provision contract which does not stipulate a completion date for the work, all work was done with materials and labor included, however the values of the materials are much higher due to several factors, and I did not pass on any value more for the customer by complying with the values stated in the contract. Now with just 3 days left to complete all the work, I requested half of the final cost of the work to be able to buy the rest of the materials, considering that I spent much more on materials due to price variations. And I never abandoned or refused to finish the work, just waiting for the client's response, considering that I still have a value to receive from the work.
